RN Cardiac Cath Lab

POSITIONS SUMMARY

• The Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab Nurse is responsible and accountable for the delivery of individualized nursing care to adult patients having cardiac catheterization procedures as well as care for patients having specialized radiology procedures.
• This includes both the prep and recovery of these patients.
• The Nurse is also responsible for specialized cardiac tests performed on adult as well as pediatric patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

• A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee
• Additional courses in physiology and hemodynamic monitoring and EKG interpretation.
• Two (2) years experience as a staff nurse.
• Experience in intensive care nursing (ICU/ER)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
• Communicates and works effectively with people.
