JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Cath Lab Specialist/RN functions within the framework of the organization’s standards of patient care by serving as an integral member of the Cardiac Catheterization team involved in invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The cath lab specialist/RN uses cardiovascular knowledge and skills to manage invasive cardiac studies.

EDUCATION:

State of Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license required. The University of Vermont Medical Center is moving toward an all Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) workforce. All external candidates hired into, or current employees promoted to, a RN position will be required to obtain their BSN as outlined in the terms of their offer letter. Current internal RNs are strongly encouraged to pursue a BSN to support this initiative.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 1 year cardiac or critical care nursing experience or equivalent. Experience in Cath Lab preferred. Experience in angiography preferred.

This is a bargaining union position.
