Cardiac Catheterization Technologist (CVT/RT)
12 hour; Day shift (630am-7pm)
No scheduled weekend, nights or holidays
On-call requirements for coverage of that time which varies by staffing
Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist I role is responsible for scrubbing and assisting in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, by evaluating patient’s hemodynamic status and vital signs using hemodynamic monitoring equipment and managing the image during the procedure.
Education:
Graduate of School of Cardiovascular Technology or School of Radiologic Technology required.
License/Certifications:
- For Radiologic Technologists: Current applicable state(s)Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist AND certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R)required.
- For Cardiovascular Technologists: Certification: Must hold current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Experience:
Relevant clinical experience preferred.
Candidates must meet one of the two pathways above to be eligible.
RCIS-certified candidates do not need ARRT certification
