Cardiac Cath Lab Assistant
Job Description
Under the general supervision and in accordance with specific policies and procedures maintains stock in Cath Lab.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the procurement function for the Adult Cath Lab and CVC Suite inventories. This includes insuring all supplies are readily available for scheduled cases while maintaining a volume that is cost efficient.
Prior to catheterization procedure, sets up sterile field, equipment and instruments.
Orders, receives and stores supplies from stores and C.P.D.
Monitors maintenance of daily receiving records of Cath Lab/CVC Suite inventories and non-inventory items for discrepancies, backorders, and errors in shipping.
Places orders via the automated material management system for which purchasing issues purchase orders.
Communicates all supply problems to the Chief Technologist.
Breaks down bulk orders, stock shelves, manages the proper storage, stock rotation, and distribution of supplies for the Adult Cath Lab and CVC suite.
Maintains collaborative, team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the working groups achievement of goals, and to help foster a positive work environment
Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed
Requirements:
2+ years of related experience is typically required for a person to acquire the knowledge and manual skills necessary to perform the job at its highest standard.
Ability to read, write, and speak English. Level of education generally obtained through high school diploma or equivalent.
