Job Summary
The Queen’s Medical Center is seeking a full-time Radiologic Special Procedure Technologist to join our Cardiac Invasive Services (Cath Lab) team. In this role, you will assist with complex cardiac and interventional procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
You will work closely with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care.
Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate during cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and cardiac device procedures
- Perform diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures
- Prepare patients before procedures and provide care during and after procedures
- Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging and monitoring equipment
- Monitor patient condition and respond to procedural needs
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Hawaii State Radiologic Technologist license (or ability to obtain prior to hire)
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential OR
minimum of one (1) year of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
Preferred:
- ARRT advanced certification
- Prior experience in a cardiac catheterization lab
Work Environment
- Hospital-based, high-acuity care setting
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, and assisting with patient movement
- Exposure to radiation and specialized medical equipment
