Description

This position is primarily responsible for effectively coordinating and participating in all aspects of the cardiac catheterization procedure. The Cath Lab RN is also responsible for assisting in the maintenance of equipment, performing QC, and maintaining supplies.  The Cath Lab nurse may also work in the heart center and/or imaging department performing such duties as stress testing, invasive procedure monitoring and triage.

 Education:  Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current TN license. Current certification in BLS and  ACLS.

Experience/Knowledge:  One year critical care experienced required and one year cardiac catheterization experience preferred.  Basic computer knowledge.
