OBL Nurse Manager
Job Description
About the Job: The OBL Nurse Manager provides clinical management and oversees all areas of care for OBL specializing in Vascular and Endovascular Interventions. Provide perioperative patient care, specifically in the intraoperative phase, including administering anesthesia according to established guidelines. Supports the medical care of patients requiring various invasive vascular, peripheral vascular or interventional radiology diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Sustains a high level of patient care by communication with the patients, families, physicians and co-workers to address the needs of the patient.
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher degree in nursing required
- Minimum two years cardiac or vascular cath lab experience
- 1+ years of nursing manager experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or surgery
Responsibilities/Job Description:
- Leads, supervises and directs and/or delegates all areas of care in OBL
- Assures day to day operations are in compliance with State and Federal regulations, clinical practice standards and policies of the OBL
- Ensures sufficient staffing daily by notifying OBL team of scheduling changes
- Maintains and manages all inventory and supplies
- Knowledge of all OBL equipment and vendors
- Facilitates effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures
- Delegates, coaches, mentors and handles conflict resolution with OBL team
- Assumes administrative responsibilities as assigned
- Responsible for recruiting, training and credentialing for OBL support staff
- Implements process improvement and quality assurance activities and recognizes occurrences and files the appropriate forms for Risk Management requirements
