The Cardiac Cath/EP Lab Clinical Unit Educator is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating education for all department associates. Education will be presented in a standardized manner to ensure quality care for all patient populations. The departmental charge nurses are available to assist in direction and coordination of day-to-day operations and serve as a resource to staff. The department has consistently high associate engagement scores as well as patient and family satisfaction. The department leader is a registered nurse with over 16 years of nursing experience. She has served in various roles within the department including staffing, charge nurse and currently manager since 2016.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 3 years of cardiac nursing experience
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (R.N) licensure permitting practice in South Carolina
- American Heart Association Certification in ACLS and BLS
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- 3 years cardiac cath/EP lab nursing experience
