Job Description Summary:

**Experienced Cath Lab Technologists are eligible for a $5000 sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment. External applicants only.

The Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Cardiologist for both coronary and peripheral procedures. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, and coronary and peripheral anatomy. In addition, the technologist must be knowledgeable to manage over 1670 inventory items. The technologist assists with the following coronary procedures: left heart catherizations, right heart catherizations, PTCA with possible stent, IABP, CPS, IVUS, thrombectomy, rotational athrectomy, and pericardiocentesis. The technologist also assists with the following peripheral procedures: abdominal aortograms with or without run offs, carotid angiogram, carotid PTA, A-V fistula, limb salvage, relook lysis, coil embolization, thrombectomy, venogram, pulmonary angiogram, IVC filter, athrectomy, and PTA with possible stent of peripheral arteries. The technologist must also be competent to work in OR 11 for TAVI cases and AAA stents. The technologist must have knowledge and documented competency for all closure devices for femoral and radial approach. This department performs over 6,000 procedures annually.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree (Required)ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support – American Heart Association, BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association

State of Ohio Radiologic License. ARRT Registry. BLS/ACLS certified; basic arrhythmias. Computer data entry Experience . Knowledge of sterile technique. 1 yr in a hospital radiology department.
