Overview
Presbyterian is hiring a Cardio Technologist for the Cath Lab at Presbyterian Hospital. The cardio tech perform electrocardiograms, holter monitor and event recorder hook up, Analyze, reprogram and download pacemakers and AICDs under the direction of a RN or physician. Perform cardiovascular stress testing

Qualifications
Experience:
Two or more years cardiac medicine experience required
Must pass treadmill training protocol within 6 months of hire
Take and pass Basic Arrhythmia Class within two attempts
Must take and pass City Wide Basic Arrhythmia Class.
Must take and pass annual yearly Basic Arrhythmia Challenge Test.
CCT (Certified Cardiographic Technician) or CET (Certified EKG Technician) preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities
Operate EKG machine to record electromotive variations and impulses of the heart.
Serve as a department mentor and assist in training new employees in all job functions.
Perform treadmill exercises stress tests and stress echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients.
Perform nuclear stress tests.
Maintains stress testing room as well as all department equipment
Edit and forward final stress test results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
Perform mobile pacemaker interrogations, analyze and/or reprogram AICD or pacemakers under the supervision of a RN or MD.
Analyze and process all holter and event monitor reports.
Analyze ICD and pacemaker reports under the supervision of a RN or physician.
edits, processes, archives, and order entry for adult and pediatric 12 lead ECGs utilizing the MUSE System and EPIC.
Flexibility to work at all PHS locations.
