Services for the Community
North Suburban provides a number of medical services and actively addresses the medical needs of our community. Position Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse provides patient care for Cardiovascular patients before and after their Cath Lab procedure. Supports non-invasive Cardiology testing as needed. Is accountable to uphold expectations and initiatives surrounding iCARE and the Patient Experience. Cares for Adult and Geriatric patient populations.

Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/ Registration: Current Registered Nurse License in the state of Colorado (May work with a current RN compact license from another state for the 1st 90 days of employment) current BCLS certification, current ACLS certification.

Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. BSN desirable.

Experience:
2 years experience in acute care, critical care nursing preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at NSMC.
2. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills.
3. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
4. Has patient assessment knowledge and ability.

Degree of Supervision Required:
During orientation periods the new employee will be under the direct supervision of a designated preceptor. Once off orientation it is expected that the employee works independently within our cardiovascular team philosophy.

Orientation Period:
2-4 weeks depending on experience. Continuous evaluations will be done to determine employees’ competence.
