Cardiovascular Lead Tech

Job Description

This position is responsible for operating the physiomonitoring system and complex imaging equipment, also serves in the role of scrub tech assisting the cardiologist, radiologist or vascular surgeon during cardiovascular/interventional procedures.

The Lead Tech is able to independently scrub all procedures, both vascular and Cardiac, and able to adjust to meet the needs of the physicians. The Lead Tech performs other duties including but not limited to: assist in cleaning, stocking of supplies, housekeeping duties, room turn-over, and attending staff meetings. The Lead tech will act as new hire Preceptor when asked. The Lead Tech will be responsible for on-hand supplies and medical equipment and reconciliation of these products. The lead Tech is also responsible for billing and charging of supplies in “supply scan”. The Lead Tech will report issues with supplies and/or staff with the Manager.

Education: Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program or Radiography Program.

Licensure/Certification: RCIS or AART certified. Current certification in BLS.

Experience/Knowledge: Previous Cardiac Cath Lab work experience preferred. Proficient in EKG’s and hemodynamic pressure tracings. Basic computer knowledge.
